James Barclay is great at keeping the continuity
in his stories. But even the great man himself makes mistakes. Here
are some continuity errors. If you have more then send them here.
Selik
In Dawnthief Selik is hit by Erienne's IceWind.
He shatters into thousands of pieces. However, he is the head of the
Black Wings in Nightchild. Where it is stated he survived. He must
be hard.
Age Differences
At the start of Dawnthief Hirad
is 31 and the Unknown is 33. Yet by the time Nightchild comes some
5 years later, Hirad is feeling everyone of his 39 years when running
through the streets of Arlen. Not only is he now older than the Unknown
but has aged 8 years in just 5, must be down to magic.
Erienne's Hair
When she is saved from the Blackwings Castle in
Dawnthief she has blonde hair. Yet when tending Lyanna's grave in
Elfsorrow she has auburn hair. And i didnt think Wella made hair colouring
till the 20th Century.
Hirad's Speech
In Hirad's speech in Cuff he
states that Sirendor Larn die by an Xeteskian assassin's blade. He
was actually killed by a Blackwing blade which was mean to kill Denser,
who is an Xeteskian. Can Hirad not remember or is it a continuity
error? You decide.
Duele From The Cave
When in the cave in the Demon dimension, Auum runs
out of the cave with Duele. However, Duele's dead. Superhuman you
say! Well he is an elf. If you don't see this in your copy of DemonStorm,
it's a typo in the original edition and will have been corrected.
It should have been Evunn.
